06/12/8412:58 pmbruce P0000 Cannot allocate data buffer

This procedure requires a minimum of 32k of main memory to run. There is not
enough memory to allocate this space.P0000 filelist is not an indexed file

Filelists are indexed type files. The file name you entered is not the name
of an indexed file, so it is not a filelist.

Enter a new filelist name.P0000 filelist file record size is not 80 bytes

The record size of filelists is 80 bytes. The record size of the file you have
entered is not 80 bytes. Either the file is not a filelist, or it has been
damaged.P0000 filelist is not ready to transfer

The filelist has not been completely received. It is either still being
transferred, or is busy.P0000 filelist file is not for MCS

The filelist you have specified has not been specified for use with MCS. Only
filelists that are specified for MCS can be used by this procedure.P0000 incorrect name in filelist

The name in the filelist header and the name on disk do not match. The filelist
format is wrong, and the filelist may be corrupted. P0000 Physical filelist file is not an indexed file

The physical filelist file (pff) is not an indexed file, hence not a filelist.P0000 PFF record size is incorrect

The physical filelist file (pff) record size should be 128 + 6 + 32 = 166 bytes.
The specified file has the wrong record size.P0000 Incorrect name in PFF

The filelist name in the physical filelist file (pff) is incorrect. The file
may be damaged.P0000 Number of records in filelist is not the same as in PFF

The number of records in the filelist is not the same as the number of records
in the physical filelist file (pff) on disk. The numbers must be equal.P0000 record is larger than 32k

The filesystem does not allow a serial file to be larger than 32k. This file
is too large.P0000 record size is larger than buffer size

The buffer size is set at 32k. The file record size is greater than 32k, so
it cannot be processed.P0000 failed to get more memory

The procedure requires more memory. When it tried to get more, but not enough
memory is available.P0000 file name not found in PFF

A file name existed in the filelist file, but was not found in the physical
filelist file (pff). The pff may be corrupted. The file cannot be transferred.P0000The multi-keyed file has more than 255 keydescriptions. This exceeds the size
limitation of this procedure.

This multi-keyed file is skipped by the procedure.P0000

The intersytem file identification (ifid) is too large to fit in the buffer.
The name may be no larger than 512 bytes.P0000There is no cartridge inserted in the MCS drive.

Insert a cartridge and try again.P0000 No label present

This tape is unlabeled. It must be labeled before it can be used by this
procedure.P0000 Bad MCS label

The label on the cartridge in the drive is corrupted or missing information.P0000 The label id is bad

The first four bytes in the tape label are bad.P0000 Unknown file type

An attempt was made to transfer a file of a type not supported by this program.
Only BFS file types are supported. These are:

Direct Serial
Sort BASIC program
IndexP0000 The file on tape is incomplete

The file on tape is incomplete. This results from a read error from disk or
from tape.P0000The tape label says the cartridge has been erased. There is no data on this
tape.P0000 Tape is not an intersystem tape

This tape was not written by the intersystem transfer procedures. Only tapes
written by intersystem transfer can be read by this procedure.P0000 tape is not volume 1

The procedure expects volume one of a tape set to be in the drive. The current
tape is not volume one.

Multiple volumes are not allowed by this procedure.P0000The procedure expected to find a file mark, but it is missing.

The tape was written incorrectly. The label may be wrong.P0000There is no data on this tape past the label. The label is correct, but there
is no data. The label does not indicate that the tape was erased.P0000The file name is too large to fit in the buffer. Either you entered too long
a name, or the name read was too long. P0000The record in the serial file on tape that contains the record size is less than
two bytes long. This record must be two bytes.P0000The record size in the filelist file is not 80 bytes, as required.P0000The file does not begin on a 512 byte boundary. This is a fatal program error.
The error occurs while writing to tape.P0000 Insert cartridge. Type <RETURN> when ready:

Insert the MCS cartridge into the drive and turn the lever. When you are ready,
press <RETURN>.

The program will proceed to read and display the tape label.P0000 Warning -- All data on the cartridge will be destroyed.
                     Use this cartridge? (yes/no):

This procedure does not preserve any data on the destination tape. Make sure
you have inserted a tape that does not contain needed files.

When you are ready to proceed, press <RETURN>.P0000The current cartridge set name and cartridge set identification are displayed
on the screen.

To change the cartridge set name, type "1" and press <RETURN>. You will be
prompted for the new name.

To change the cartridge set id, type "2" and press <RETURN>. You will be
prompted for the new identification.

When both are correct, press <RETURN> alone to proceed.P0000 Type cartridge set name (max. 8 characters):

Type a name for the cartridge set and then press <RETURN>. The name may be
eight characters or less.

Press <CTL-II> to repeat the previous prompt.P0000 Type the cartridge set id (max. 8 characters):

Type the new cartridge set identification and press <RETURN>. The
identification may be eight characters long of less.

Press <CTL-II> to repeat the previous prompt.P0000 Type the name of the filelist file:

Type the name of the filelist file and press <RETURN>.

A filelist name may be up to 32 bytes (characters) long. The filelists for this
program are located in the directory "/util/isys".P0000 Insert cartridge. Type <RETURN> when ready:

Insert the MCS cartridge into the drive and turn the lever. When you are ready,
press <RETURN>.

The program will proceed to read and display the tape label.P0000 Use this cartridge? (yes/no):

The label for the cartridge currently in the MCS drive is displayed on the
screen.

If the displayed label is for the tape you want to read, type "yes" or "y" and
press <RETURN>.

If the displayed label is not for the correct tape, or you do not want to
continue with this procedure, type "no" or "n" and press <RETURN>.P0000 Retension cartridge? (yes/no):

Retensioning the cartridge makes sure the tape is neither too loose or too
tight to work properly.

If you want the tape to be retensioned before proceeding, type "yes" or "y"
and then press <RETURN>.

If you do not want to retension the tape, type "no" or "n" and press <RETURN>.P0000 1. Selected files

directory which will contain the transferred files. The directory path name
may be up to 80 characters long.

If you press <RETURN> alone, the files will be placed in the directory
"/util/isys/files".P0000 Working on "xyz"
                               Transfer this file? (yes/no):

If you chose to transfer selected files, you are asked whether or not you want
to transfer the displayed file.

If you want to transfer this file, type "yes" or "y" and press <RETURN>. The
file will then be transferred.

If you do not want to transfer this file, type "no" or "n" and press <RETURN>.
The file will be skipped and marked as skipped in the filelist file.P0000 Is this a continuation job? (yes/no):

The filelist file for the files being transferred already exists on disk.

If you are now finishing a transfer job that has already been partially
completed, then this is a continuation job. Type "yes" or "y" and press
<RETURN>. The files you transfer will be added to the filelist file.

If this is not a continuation job, type "no" or "n" and press <RETURN>. You
will be asked if you want to replace the current file.P0000 Filelist "name" already exists.
                        Replace it? (yes/no):

The filelist name of the files you are transferring already exists on disk, and
you have indicated that this is not a continuation job.

If you want to replace the existing filelist file with the one you are
transferring now, type "yes" or "y" and press <RETURN>.

If you do not want to replace the existing filelist file, type "no" or "n" and
press <RETURN>. You will be prompted for another cartridge.P0000 File "name" exists.
                          Replace it? (yes/no):
